Rental Assistance Program - South Chicago Community Service Center (Chicago)
10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday’s and Wednesday’s
The Emergency Rental Assistance Program provides financial assistance to Chicago residents directly related to the prevention of homelessness. Assistance may include payment of rent arrears and rent to prevent eviction. Interested parties must have documentation of emergency such as temporary loss of income, fire, flood, court order to vacate, or domestic violence.


Holiday Food Basket Registration-  South Chicago Community Service Center -   Christmas Food Baskets
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday
The South Chicago Community Service Center is registering low-income families with minor children who need assistance this holiday season. When registering, families must provide proof of identity, residency, current gross monthly income, and guardianship to household members less than 18 years of age.
    Head of household is also required to attend one nutrition education workshop.

Free Medical and Kids ID Card - ID Program  -  Office of the City Clerk of Chicago
11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2016
Medical ID program offers a free medical identification card to Chicago residents of all ages who want their medical information and vital statistics readily available in case of an emergency.
    KIDS ID Program captures pictures, fingerprints and key information about Chicago children, so that if a child ever goes missing, this information can be shared with law enforcement, media and various child protection / child search groups in the hopes of locating the lost child. Parents also receive an ID card that contains the child’s information, as well as phone numbers to call after reporting a missing child to police.

Outreach Programs
  •        Lunch Time Program

    provides bag lunches to homeless and low- income veterans, individuals, and families living on the streets of Chicago and South Suburban area.
  • Personal Hygiene Product Collection

    provides baby diapers, baby wipes, feminine hygiene products and toiletries to homeless and low-income indiviuals.
  • Winter Gear/Clothing Program

    New or lightly worn recently cleaned used coats, gloves, sweaters needed, blankets, sleeping blankets.
