St. Leo Campus for Veterans

Residence provides long-term housing in 141 studio apartments for Veterans as well as onsite case management services. The Campus includes the St. Leo Residence, the Pope John Paul II Residence for Disabled Persons.

Supportive Services for Veteran Families  

Provides veterans living in Lake and Suburban Cook counties, experiencing homelessness, or imminent homelessness, with emergency housing and homeless prevention, intensive case management services, and connections to benefits from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Veterans Employment Program

Assists veterans in Cook and Lake counties in finding and maintaining employment by providing job readiness training, resume writing assistance, mock interviews, and job placement counseling.

Auburn Gresham Community Based Outpatient Clinic

This clinic is located on the St. Leo Campus for Veterans. The building is leased to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). It is staffed by the Department of Veterans Affairs and provides a range of health care and other services exclusively to Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Bishop Goedert Residence

An affordable senior housing facility with 70 one-bedroom apartments located on the Veterans Affairs (VA) Hines Campus features a front desk that is monitored 24-hours a day, a common area with a library, laundry facilities, mailbox lobby, a crafts room, media room, game room and community room. The Bishop Goedert Residence is financed under the Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly Program of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, which requires that all applicants be at least 62 years of age or older, have a low income and fulfill other Section 202 requirements. Preference status is given to applicants who are veterans. Eligible households pay no more than 30 percent of their adjusted gross income for rent and utilities, excluding telephone.

Outreach Programs
  •        Lunch Time Program

    provides bag lunches to homeless and low- income veterans, individuals, and families living on the streets of Chicago and South Suburban area.
  • Personal Hygiene Product Collection

    provides baby diapers, baby wipes, feminine hygiene products and toiletries to homeless and low-income indiviuals.

  • Winter Gear/Clothing Program

    New or lightly worn recently cleaned used coats, gloves, sweaters needed, blankets, sleeping blankets.
