Our Story: From a Simple Idea to Thousands of Happy Couples
Slavic Women Dating began with a single act of friendship. In 2000, when international dating was just gaining momentum, our founder Elena Zhevner saw a close friend struggling with loneliness and losing faith in love. Rather than offer empty reassurances, Elena took action - she introduced her friend to an American man who shared her values and dreams for the future. That introduction blossomed into marriage, and the wedding became the spark that ignited our mission.
Watching her friend walk down the aisle transformed Elena's understanding of what international dating could achieve. She realized that countless women across Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Belarus, and neighboring countries shared the same desire for genuine connection with partners who valued family, loyalty, and commitment. At the same time, she knew that American and European men were searching for exactly these qualities in a life partner.
Elena opened our first office in Mykolaiv, Ukraine, with a simple but revolutionary approach: every woman would be personally interviewed, verified, and guided through the process with care and respect. Every man would receive honest information, professional support, and the opportunity to build real relationships - not superficial exchanges. This commitment to authenticity distinguished us from the beginning and remains our foundation today.
Over the past 25 years, we have facilitated over 700 marriages between couples from more than 30 countries. Each success story reinforces our belief that love knows no borders when two people share genuine intentions and receive proper support. We continue to operate from our original office in Ukraine, maintaining the hands-on approach that made us successful, while expanding our reach to serve men across the United States, Western Europe, and beyond.
